Highly rated non-league side UCHECARIA INTERNATIONAL FOOTBALL CLUB of ABA, were engaged in a friendly fixture with Talented Young Stars FC of Azumini.

The match serves as part of UCHECARIA FC’s preparatory fixtures ahead of the proposed Nigerian Nationwide League Two Playoffs.

The match which was played at the national primary school field Azumini Ukwa East local government of Abia State, started with the visitors taking the initiative quickly after kickoff with impressive winger Ugwueze Nzubechi’s brilliant run down the left resulting to a corner kick, which was taken by left back Chuks Ibe and brilliantly slotted into the net by the captain of the day Ben Ikpeazu to give UCHECARIA FC the lead in the 3rd minute.

Shortly after going down, the host took control of the game and played with lots of commitment and dexterity, and came very close to an equalizer when the struck the woodwork in the 7th minute.

The host continued to grow in confidence and created lots of chances which the UCHECARIA defense managed to repel until the 21st minute when a corner kick was taken from the left flank and glancingly nodded home by the TYS FC player to bring the game to parity.

The host enjoyed a larger portion of the possession and created more chances but the UCHECARIA FC defense led by Onyema and Chisom stood their ground until the end of the first half.

UCHECARIA FC’s Coach Freedom Amadi made 6 changes before the start of second half and the impact of the changes were quickly felt as the visitors took the initiatives and created lots of chances with a great display of dexterity and flamboyancy.

In the 55th minute UCHECARIA almost took the lead when Ugwueze Nzubechi’s freekick was marginally tipped over the Cross bar by TYS impressive goalie.

In the 60th minute, when a fine combination between the ever impressive and flamboyant midfielder Chukwuemeka Anikpe and strong forwarder Bernard Nnaemeka resulted in the host scoring an owngoal.

The rest of the second half saw UCHECARIA FC dominating the game with some great passing and display of skills and was duly rewarded in the 88 minute when Nzubechi Ugwueze lashed on to Chukwuemeka Anikpe’s through ball to finish calmly to increase the tally to 3-1 for the visitors.

Shortly afterwards the referee blew the final whistle to end the game at 3-1 in favor of the visitation UCHECARIA INTERNATIONAL FOOTBALL CLUB.
